Quality Management Department
The Quality Management Department of the GCAA is responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with the quality, labor, information security and flight safety policies set by the Agency;
- Participating in the development of the main and ancillary processes taking place in the Agency;
- Consolidating the Agency’s Annual Action Plan and Civil Aviation Safety Plan;
- Monitoring the implementation of the Agency’s Action Plan;
- Initiating and overseeing the management process of planned changes in the Agency;
- Monitoring the compliance of the Agency’s management system, key processes ongoing in the Agency and relevant procedures with applicable national and international standards;
- Planning and regular implementation of measures to assess the compliance with applicable requirements;
- Submitting the results of compliance monitoring to the Agency’s management, overseeing the implementation of measures to correct and prevent identified non-conformities;
- Drawing up an Information Security Action Plan and submitting an annual report on its realization to the Agency’s management;
- Implementing the information security management system and ensuring its effective operation;
- Drawing up intradepartmental documentation related to information security policy;
- Collecting information on information security incidents and monitoring the follow-up actions;
- Reporting on information security issues;
- Collecting information on aviation occurrences, performing statistical analysis and processing of notifications, drawing up an annual report, developing a database, exchanging notification data with the aviation authorities of other countries and international aviation organizations;
- Participating in the development of measures to improve the level of flight safety;
- In order to prevent the violation of labor safety, implementing and managing labor safety standards;
- Within its competence, cooperating with international organizations and government agencies.
