Georgian airlines will be able to operate regular flights to Korea’s largest international airports, while Korean airlines will be able to operate regular flights to Georgian airports.

On the basis of an Agreement signed between Georgia and the Republic of Korea, a legal framework was created in the field of air transport, which makes the direct regular flights between the two countries even more attractive and contributes to the expansion of flight areas, deepening trade and economic relations, and the development of tourism.

It is important to note that in recent years, before the pandemic, there was a sharp increase in the number of visitors to Georgia from the Republic of Korea. In particular, in 2019, 16 642 visitors came to Georgia from the Republic of Korea, which is 25,3% more than in 2018 and 112,2% more than in 2017. In 2018-2019, Korean Air airline performed several charter flights between Georgia and the Republic of Korea, and carried up to 1 500 passengers.
