Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates’ low cost carrier, is launching regular operations in Georgia. The airline will operate Abu Dhabi – Tbilisi – Abu Dhabi flights, which is a new destination in the Georgian aviation market. The flights will be operated from July 1 until the end of summer navigation season (October 28) according to the following schedule:

Abu Dhabi – Tbilisi – Abu Dhabi – 3 times a week, every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The flights will be operated by Airbus 320 aircraft. On June 18, 2021, the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia granted the airline a permit required to operate regular flights. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, which is a joint air carrier co-founded by Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, began low-cost flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport in 2020.

“Continuous consultations between Air Arabia Abu Dhabi and the Civil Aviation Agency were held. We are glad that a new direction has been added to us, the operation on which will begin on July 1. The launch of regular air traffic between the capitals of Georgia and the United Arab Emirates will contribute to deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the development of tourism and new business relations. The good news is that despite the pandemic, interest in the Georgian aviation market is high. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is the sixth new airline to start operating in Georgia since the beginning of this summer navigation season. Kazakh and Ukrainian low-cost airlines – FlyArystan and Bees Airline – have already started flights. OMAN AIR, the state-owned airline, has already entered the market. From July 4, the German low-cost airline Eurowings will start operating regular flights in the direction Düsseldorf – Tbilisi – Dusseldorf, while the Kyrgyz Republic’s low-cost airline – Air Manas – plans to operate charter flights”, said Levan Karanadze, the Director of Civil Aviation Agency.
